Services at St Peter’s are informal and formal, modern and traditional, with powerful music and moments of silence! We take worshipping God seriously, and try to use the best of different Christian traditions so that at the Parish Mass everyone can feel like we belong and have a place at St Peter’s. The best thing is just to come and see, any Sunday from 10.30am-12pm followed by refreshments in church to meet and great each other.
Our Mass booklet is really easy to follow and you can see an example here. It’s available in church printed on yellow paper and also via QR code/link so that you can follow on your device to help us save paper and resources.
Come and see for yourself. We look forward to meeting you, whoever you are! Whether you're single or coupled; whether you come on your own or you have wriggly children or little angels(!); whether you're gay, straight, trans, lesbian, bi, or any orientation; whether you're old or young, black or white, etc, etc, etc! Here, everyone's welcome! Everyone belongs at St Peter’s!
Morning Prayer: Mon-Thu
Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu: 9.15am (30 mins)
Morning Prayer is a lovely, peaceful and joyful way to start the day! It happens in the cosy Lady Chapel at the front of church and includes hymns that we choose together on the day, psalms, readings, prayers, and reflection on the meaning of the Bible reading for us. As always, children are very welcome to come, and we have some toys and colouring available.
Joyful Sung Parish Mass
Every Sunday: 10:30am till 12pm
The joyful Sung Parish Mass is the focus of our life here at St Peter's. We aim to offer dignified and passionate worship to God in the beauty of this amazing church building. We welcome all people, young and old. Our tradition is modern catholic and friendly!
We are working on re-starting our children and young people’s worship after lockdown>>>During Mass we normally split into groups: Diddy Disciples (babies upwards), Junior Church (late primary school upwards), and Youth Church (teenagers upwards) - then we join together for the Holy Communion part of the Parish Mass.
Come and see for yourself. We look forward to meeting you, whether you're single or coupled; whether you come on your own or you have wriggly children or little angels(!); whether you're gay, straight, trans, lesbian, bi, or any orientation; whether you're old or young, black or white, etc, etc, etc! Here, everyone's welcome! Everyone belongs at St Peter’s!
Quiet Monday Evenings…
Every Monday 6.30pm: Rosary and 7pm: Said Mass with Hymns (not on Bank Holidays)
Monday evenings at ST Peter’s with Rosary and a quiet and reflective Said Mass (Communion Service) are a great way to recharge your spiritual batteries during the week. Everyone welcome.
If you’re not used to the Rosary or Communion, don’t worry, just come and see, and we can explain things. We also have rosaries available to borrow (and sometimes ones to buy if you’d like one!).
