Building Beyond: St Peter's 200th Anniversary Building Appeal!

St Peter's turns 200 years old in 2025 and to mark this we have ambitious plans to open up our architectural, historical, artistic and social heritage to more and more people in Walworth and beyond! A man built a stunningly beautiful church 200 years ago - but what happened since then, that's our story!

The project will see important works on the building to restore, conserve, and beautify Sir John Soane's best preserved church, making it more accessible in every way! There will be a fantastic, varied programme of activities to help as many people as possible engage with the rich history and present-day story of St Peter's Church as a building, a vibrant inclusive community of faith, and a place of community gathering and memory!

At this stage we need to raise funds for all the initial works and professional fees involved in preparing our First Round Development Phase National Lottery Heritage Fund application: our Expression of Interest was successful a few months ago! And you can help us to reach the next stage!
